Saturday, July 4, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of American Independence with a fun, family-friendly day of history at Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Experience Independence Day as it might have been celebrated during America’s founding as you explore our historic Pennsylvania German village, meet living history interpreters, and enjoy hands-on activities for visitors of all ages.

📜 Declaration of Independence Readings

Throughout the day, visitors will hear live readings of the Declaration of Independence presented by our historic interpreters in buildings across the village. As you travel through the museum, each stop reveals another portion of this remarkable document, bringing the story of America’s independence to life.

The readings will also be recorded as part of Pennsylvania’s statewide America 250 Declaration of Independence Reading, which will be shared across the Commonwealth on July 8.
