Landis Valley is one of the most unusual places to find things to do in Lancaster County for the entire family. And it’s always changing with events, classes, live reenacting, and more examples of 18th and 19th century life than you would believe. Our events are filled with fun for all ages and focus upon different aspects of life in rural Lancaster County from 1740 – 1940.
Interested in gardening? Be sure to come to the Herb & Garden Faire held every year on Mother’s Day weekend. Interested the Civil War? Don’t miss our huge Civil War Days event in late July. Looking to create a new tradition for Christmas? There are multiple Christmas events. We even offer several classes and workshops to make ornaments and decorations for Christmas that are perfect for all ages. Four times a year we also offer Hands-on History Days, where you can learn old skills and crafts that everyone should know. And Harvest Days, our biggest and oldest event, lets you immerse yourself in all aspects of 18th and 19th century farm life for a day.
