If you are looking for a way to create unforgettable memories with your children or grandchildren, Hands-On History Days are a great opportunity (October 17th, 24th and 31). Hands-on History Days is a series of unique learning experiences specifically designed for adults to do with children.
For instance, learn a historic craft, like Scherenschnitte. Or experience old-fashioned farm chores, like fence building or stuffing a mattress. You can learn how clothing was made with materials grown on the farm, like wool and linen. And you can even experience “going to school” in a one-room schoolhouse to see what schools 150 years ago were teaching.
October 17, 24, 31. 10am to 3pm. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.)
Tickets will be available online soon.
*Free admission for PA Heritage members not valid for Hands-On History Days
