Please join us for a free virtual lecture on January 27 2022 at 7:00 pm. The 18th C Peter Wentz Farmstead is a historic site preserved by the Montgomery County Park system. The farmstead’s educator, Carly Schmidt, will focus on the site’s unique place in history. This Pennsylvania German farm house was the headquarters for General George Washington, and his staff, following the Continental Army’s defeat at the Battle of Germantown. The presentation will focus on the farm’s role in the American Revolution, its unique architecture, the Wentz family, and the long history of the property.
