NOW FREE OF CHARGE! Please join us for the first offering of Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum’s quarterly and in-person lecture series!
This lecture will feature Landis’ Site Administrator, David Blackburn. David will explore the preservation and memorization of Martin Luther’s home, associated churches, and other structures linked to individuals that supported Luther’s quest to reform the Catholic church. Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany, is home to several UNESCO World Heritage sites connected to Luther’s life, work, and beliefs. This lecture will explore what is preserved and how Luther’s legacy, and the Reformation, is shared with the public. Blackburn will also explore the evolution of how Luther’s story and hometown was preserved and told through time.
