The Lancaster County Community Foundation’s Extraordinary Give Day on Friday, November 20th is an exciting way to participate in a community- wide day of giving and to help Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum continue to be a thriving educational resource to our community.

It is one way to give a much needed and valued gift to our Annual Appeal Sow the Seeds 2020, to benefit the Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum, during this most challenging year. We need to raise $15,000 during this campaign. Your best gift can be stretched by the Lancaster County Community Foundation and their many generous partners, to maximize your impact.Over 10,000 students a year get to experience what life was really like 200 years ago here in South Central PA — how things were done on a farm, how people communicated, and what was important to people of that time. We cannot teach these valuable lessons without your help.

The museum comprises 100 acres and 2 farms which are used for historical interpretation.

And what many people notice most are the crafts that we practice and publish about right here in Lancaster County. In a typical year, thousands of persons from all over the world visit Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum to witness the craft demonstrations and to learn the skills required to do them.

Your gifts will help to support both our farm program with its heritage breed animals and the Heirloom Seed Project whose focus is on the preservation of seeds that have historical significance for the Pennsylvania Germans that settled in this area many years ago, as well as critical operational needs, other programs, and events we’ve all come to love and value.

Ways to support our “Sow the Seeds 2020“ campaign:

1. Click on the ExtraGive graphic below to make your donation to Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum, on Friday, November 20th, between 12 midnight and 11:59 pm

(Make a donation of $50 or more to receive seeds of renewal to plant in the Spring! A gift of $100 or more will garner a special book from the museum.)
