Instructor: Lynnette Miller
Among the various items to add warmth during the changing seasons, simple hoods and over-caps were favorite choices. They were stitched of a single layer of fabric and worn over the day caps. This class is a great one for those who wish to learn the art of accurate historical costuming. After examining 18th century hood images and samples, you will get to sew either a hood or over-cap from a selection of fabric provided by the instructor.
Please bring the following:
- Thread snips
- Fabric scissors
- Tape measure
- Fabric marking pencil
- Optional: 2 yards of 1″ colored ribbon.
Check in at the Landis Valley Museum Store by 9:45 a.m. Class is located upstairs. Please note that class size is limited.
