Online Fun - PUZZLES

You will find two breeds of sheep at Landis Valley. The sheep with the black faces and legs, and white or dark wool are Romneys and Romney Crosses. Romney sheep have fibers in their coats, which are perfect for spinning. When their wool is sheared each spring, it is spun and hten woven into cloth. Romney sheep are a common breed in Pennsylvania, even today.

Tunis sheep have reddish faces and legs, and their wool is white. While their wool is useable for spinning and weaving, they are bred more for their meat. Tunis sheep are a rare breed and you will not find many around. It is said that during hte Civil War era, the troops from both sides, while campaigning in Pennsylvania, ate many of the Tunis sheep almost to extinction!

no matter the breed, as you tour the grounds of Landis Valley, you might see a sheep or two on the loose. They are great escape artists, always willing to go in search of the perfect garden to munch on!

See if you can find the "sheep related" words in the puzzle below. The words can run vertically or horizontally. Good Luck!
